Tennessee by its natural limestone formations is rich in caves. At last count in the Spring of 2001, the Tennessee Cave Society had listed 8,200 caves that met their standards of at least 50 feet in length, 40 feet in vertical height and/or a pit of 30 feet.

Russell Cave National Monument is administered by the U.S. National Park Service. No admission fee. A great place to visit just outside of Bridgeport Alabama.
Above is a group of 22 students in the mouth of Buggy Top Cave. This is the largest cave openning in Tennessee, 20 miles from So. Cumberland Park. The openning is 100 feet wide and 80 feet high. The fog above the students is produced when cool cave air meets warm valley air.
